OLGA
"Olguita" Alvarez
Olga "Olguita" Alvarez y su version de "Guantanamera" alcanza el #4 en la lista de temas de Folk Alliance International. Grabado en el sello Musivox, la innovadora versión salió a la venta a comienzos del 2020. Guantanamera es un sencillo de un EP que debido a la pandemia, saldrá al mercado el próximo año.

Olga "Olguita" (ol-GUI-tah) Alvarez and her version of “Guantanamera” makes it to #4 on the Folk Alliance International chart. Recorded on the Musivox label and released earlier this year, “Guantanamera” is a preview of an EP that due to COVID-19, will be released next year.

Gerry Hazel
Gerry Hazel is a singer-songwriter based in Cranford, NJ.
Though he “grew up” on Top 40 AM, Classic Rock,and Folk, (e.g. Dylan, Seeger) Gerry draws inspiration from music of all genres and from the amazing power of music to touch people’s lives.
An avid songwriter, his songs speak of love, peace and social justice.

Guantanamera
The Story of a Song
Olga Alvarez and Gerry Hazel present Guantanamera – The Story of a Song. The 50-minute audio-visual presentation includes live music in English and Spanish and takes the audience on a journey that begins in 1930’s Cuba to New York’s Carnegie Hall, detailing the story of the world-famous Cuban song.

La presentación audiovisual de 50 minutos de duración que incluye música en vivo cuenta la historia de la mundialmente famosa canción desde sus orígenes en Cuba en el 1930 a los escenarios de Carnegie Hall en Nueva York.

Olga Chorens, quien durante décadas engalanó el escenario con su esposo Tony Alvarez, el dúo conocido como Olga y Tony, se mantiene activa con un programa de radio semanal por La Poderosa Radio 670 en Miami. Olga está escribiendo su biografía, una fascinante historia que relata su vida desde sus humildes orígenes, su exodo de Cuba, y su vida llena de éxito internacional.

Olga Chorens, the better half of Olga y Tony, a duet with her husband Tony Alvarez, plays cherished recordings of the famed singing team on her weekly radio show that airs on La Poderosa Radio 670 in Miami. Olga is working on her autobiography, a fascinating story that describes her humble origins, early success, her 55 year marriage to Tony, their Cuban exodus; and international travels and successes throughout Cuba, Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Spain.
